Abstract

We explore how the main sequence evolution of 1-2  stars depend on the different nuclear reactions that occur in its core. We employ MESA (Modules for Experiments in Stellar Astrophysics) to analyze the effects of adding or removing reactions. The simulations showed counter-intuitive results where the PP chain stars lasted longer on the main sequence, as and more luminous than the so called basic-net stars.
